N.E.O.N. HORIZON (DevLog #3 — Evolution)

Hello everyone.

Today I’d like to share some news about how the project has been evolving.

Over the past few weeks, I’ve been working on the idea of creating your own ship, which has now been implemented and is available in the DEMO with the latest update.

Originally, the project only had pre-made ship models and builds. They were different from each other, and each had its own unique and expensive upgrade path that could eventually make it almost overpowered.

But as the project developed, I started thinking that simply increasing damage, HP, and other numbers wasn’t enough. I wanted to be able to add new modules to the ships as well.

Major DEMO update (again) :)

Hi, everyone

Today, I’m excited to share one of our biggest updates yet.

The highlight of this update is the full-fledged Ship Builder.

The Ship Builder currently includes a core set of parts and systems that can be combined freely, and this is only the beginning. We plan to keep expanding it with new components, customization options, and mechanics, giving you even more freedom to shape your flagship in the future.

Hello everyone.

In the beginning, I only made the biome mechanics, which somehow affected the gameplay. And then I got carried away...

N.E.O.N. HORIZON (DevLog #1 - Ships and Shipyard)

Hi all.

Today I'll talk about ships, the shipyard, and the leveling system in the game.

There are currently three finished ships available in the DEMO: - Assault — a balanced ship in terms of both damage and mobility. A classic choice. - Tank — slow, but with high starting damage and strong shields. - Engineer — fast, but weak at the beginning. It deploys turrets and is focused on destroying large groups of enemies later on.
